As a newsletter subscriber, we're delighted to invite you to the Hard Hat Guided tours of The Generator, taking place as part of Heritage Open Days on Sat, 16 Sep 2023.
The event is free entry, but there are limited spaces, so please book your ticket using this

Slots are available in groups of up to 12, hourly from 11am until 5pm (last tour is 4pm).
11am-12pm, 12-1pm, 2-3pm, 3-4pm, 4-5pm
- Learn about the history of the building and education and training in Loughborough.
- Examine the architect's plans and discuss future uses of the building.
- See the original flooring underneath the panels, black and white tiles from the 1930s, recently revealed along with concreted standing for the generator motors and drainage channels.

OUR VISION
The Generator Hall will become the multimedia arts venue that the community of Loughborough and the wider area needs. It will be the cultural hub that that delivers performances, exhibitions, gigs, workshops, lectures and debates, festivals and heritage events, school visits and community engagement. We envisage a dynamic and multifunctional space and meeting place, serving all Loughborough communities.

GETTING THERE
The Generator building is on the corner of Frederick Street and Packe Street, Loughborough, LE11 3EZ.
Entrance - double blue doors on Packe Street.
Disabled parking and access on-site, toilets and disabled toilets are available in the PUBLIC coffee shop in the OAC (Old Arts College) next door.
Please arrive 10 mins before the tour starts.
Hard hats will be provided.
Feel free to also visit PUBLIC coffee shop in the OAC (Old Arts College) - for food and drinks.
